BIOGRAPHY

Edouard Claes Truedsson

Born 26th april 1982 in Oslo. From early on I was fascinated by photography and as a kid I spent all my money on binoculars. Observing the unknown has always been a passion of mine.

My visual passion got neglected during my academic school years. Because of my dyslexia it felt like constantly climbing a mountain of difficulties.

In 2005 I moved to Paris for my film directing studies. This choice helped me realize that I wanted to further pursue photography. During my studies I directed and was cinematographer for several short films.

My interest and fascination for textures was discovered on a trip visiting my grandmother in Bordeaux. I was outside taking pictures when I suddenly saw a shape of a female face on a wall. This discovery marked a new direction for my photographies. Since then I’ve continued exploring this form of art in Paris, Ljubljana, Rio de Janeiro and Oslo.

Today I’m based in Oslo, where I’m a part of the art and film collective Konglomeratene (The Conglomerates). I work as a freelance photographer, cinematographer and scriptwriter.
